really good work

portfolio — lachlan scallion

I shoot photos and video, design, build websites and run marketing. This page is twelve years of that work. Each project tells you three things: the problem, what I did, and what happened.

Imbue Business Consulting

marketing manager — corporate training and consulting

the problem

Imbue wanted to turn their workshops and in-person consulting into a full online course across a wide range of topics. They knew their content, but not how to translate in-person training into something that worked online.

what i did

Researched and analysed their positioning, audited the brand, and rebuilt everything. Developed branding and guidelines, a marketing strategy, and two WordPress websites with a full SEO strategy. Applied instructional design and e-learning theory throughout, then designed, scripted, filmed and edited 6 courses across 20 videos — with their branding carried through every touchpoint.

what happened

They rolled out online training to new and existing clients, cutting the need to travel and positioning the business for future growth. Participants were more engaged, which lifted client ROI and built Imbue's reputation.

The Ninch

co-founder and manager — regional tourism publication, mornington peninsula

the problem

Mornington Peninsula operators — cafés, makers, tourism businesses — had good stories and no time or budget to tell them.

what i did

Co-founded a local publication and ran it for nine years. All the photography and content, the website, the sales, and the relationships with operators. Campaign work with OneToo Creative from brief to delivery.

what happened

A publication locals trusted and businesses wanted to be in. Nine years of sending visitors through other people's doors.

Verse Wealth

photographer and visual strategy — financial advice firm, melbourne

the problem

They were commissioning imagery before they'd settled what it needed to say.

what i did

Worked out the visual strategy first — what the photos are for and what they should say — then shot and edited to it.

what happened

An ongoing client, and photography that matches their positioning instead of decorating it.

A huge thank you to Lachlan Scallion from Really Good Photos for his A-grade work - the third time working together in recent years. The results speak for themselves—stunning images that showcase the energy and connection that make what we do so special - and Verse a special place to work.
